Invisalign

A misaligned smile can hurt your confidence. It can also have a negative impact on your oral health

Traditional braces are not the only solution. At Fort Bend Dental, we are Preferred Providers of discreet, comfortable Invisalign® treatment to straighten your smile.

Why should you choose Invisalign?

Easy, Comfortable, and Virtually Invisible

Discreet

The aligners are made of BPA-free plastic and fit precisely over your teeth. They are barely noticeable, allowing you to feel less self-conscious while straightening your smile.

Comfortable

While the metal brackets of traditional braces can cause irritation and discomfort, the smooth plastic used for these aligners is much gentler on your lips and gums for more comfortable treatment.

Removable

Invisalign aligners can be easily removed during meals and while brushing and flossing. This system is much simpler than braces, and allows you to eat whatever you like.

How does Invisalign work?

A Popular Solution

It can most likely help you, too.

According to Invisalign

What types of conditions can be addressed with Invisalign?

Invisalign Can Treat:

Underbite

The lower arch of teeth protrudes farther than the upper arch.

Overbite

The upper arch of teeth protrudes farther than the bottom arch.

Crossbite

The arches are misaligned because one arch is shifted too close to the tongue or cheek.

Gapped Teeth

Some patients wish to correct noticeable spaces between their teeth.

Open Bite

The upper and lower arches do not make complete contact.

Overcrowding

Teeth are too close together, overlapping in many areas.

Comprehensive Treatment

While Invisalign can address any one of these conditions, it can also correct multiple issues at once to enhance your smile. Your treatment plan will be completely customized to eventually give you a smile that is not only more attractive, but also easier to maintain.

Do you qualify for treatment with Invisalign?

Invisalign Candidacy Factors:

Responsibility

You need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day. You must also follow your treatment guidelines and take care not to lose your trays.

Discretion Is a Priority

If discreet treatment is a priority, Invisalign is worth exploring. Invisalign is a popular treatment for adults and teens.

Moderate Misalignment

Not all patients are candidates for Invisalign. If you suffer from severe malocclusion, you may require traditional braces.

For over 30 years, we have been providing the highest level of dental care. Address Dental Misalignment

Invisalign can treat a variety of concerns, including overbites, underbites, gapped teeth, and overly crowded teeth.

Invisalign®: The Clear, Removable Alternative to Braces

As a preferred provider of Invisalign®, we offer standard treatment, a program designed especially for teens, and express treatment with a cosmetic focus that can be completed in a matter of months. Standard Invisalign® treatment can straighten your smile in as little as 12 to 14 months. Patients who are eligible for Invisalign® treatment find it preferable to traditional orthodontic care because it offers many benefits and advantages over metal appliances.

The Treatment Process

As with all of our restorative, cosmetic, and preventive dental treatments, the Invisalign® process begins with an initial consultation. We will evaluate your oral health, discuss your treatment options in detail, and explain how the Invisalign® process works. If you decide that this treatment is for you, we will take digital impressions of your smile, which will be used to create your custom Invisalign® appliances.

Invisalign® works much like traditional orthodontic treatment. Your teeth are slowly realigned over the course of a year or more through gentle pressure. While traditional orthodontic treatment relies on metal braces, wires, and brackets that require regular adjustments, Invisalign® uses a series of clear, plastic mouth guards. Each mouth guard is shaped slightly different than the one that precedes it, and will gradually reposition your teeth to achieve correct alignment.

During treatment, you will be required to wear your appliance a minimum of 20 hours per day. You can remove them to eat, or when brushing and flossing. Every two weeks, you will replace your aligner with the next in the series until your treatment is complete. At the conclusion of your treatment, your teeth will be straight and uniform. To ensure post-treatment retention, we will prescribe a Vivera® retainer.
