Dental Bridges

Tooth loss can lead to painful symptoms and impact your ability to eat comfortably, speak clearly, and smile with confidence.

Dental bridges from Fort Bend Dental with offices in Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Aliana and Sugar Land, TX, can restore the form and function of your smile.

Our CEREC® technology enables our dentists to create same-day bridges for you, expediting your treatment.

What is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge is a restoration that literally bridges the gap where you lost one tooth or a few teeth. Artificial teeth called pontics act as stand-ins for missing teeth. A bridge can be supported by the natural teeth around a tooth gap or dental implants, which are small posts inserted into the jaw.

A dental bridge can provide a lifetime of benefits with the proper dental care and routine visits to our dentists at Fort Bend Dental.

What Are the Benefits of Dental Bridges?

Our dentists use advanced technology and the latest proven techniques to provide comprehensive general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry services to patients throughout Fort Bend Country. A dental bridge from our dentistry practices in Richmond, Rosenberg, Missouri City, Aliana and Sugar Land, TX, can replace up to four adjacent missing teeth and offer patients:

A Renewed Smile

Experience the joy of smiling with confidence again. A dental bridge allows patients to enjoy significantly improved oral function and provides a big boost to their self-esteem.

A Long-Term Solution

Constructed of advanced materials engineered to withstand normal biting forces, a dental bridge can provide a decade or longer of reliable service with proper care.

Restored Oral Health

A traditional bridge keeps your remaining natural teeth from shifting out of place. A bridge supported by dental implants stops the bone loss associated with missing teeth.

What to Expect if You're Receiving a Traditional Dental Bridge

Day of Procedure

Preparation

One of our dentists will numb the treatment area and ensure you are comfortable before reshaping the teeth that will support a traditional bridge. This allows the crowns to cap the teeth next to the tooth gap, keeping the bridge in place.

Impression

Our dentist will take a digital impression of the treatment area in order to design your bridge. It will be constructed of porcelain or another high-quality material. With a traditional bridge, it could take up to 3 weeks before your prosthetic is ready. If so, we will place a temporary bridge until the permanent bridge is ready to be fitted. If your treatment includes a same-day restoration, your bridge will be designed and milled with our CEREC machine. Our dentists can fit the bridge shortly after it’s made.

Fitting the Bridge

Our dentist will adjust the dental bridge to make sure it fits comfortably and works as intended. Our dentist will also review the proper dental care for your bridge. Once you and your dentist are satisfied with the results, the bridge will be secured in place.

How a Traditional Bridge is Placed

The teeth adjacent to the tooth gap are reshaped and prepped for crowns. The custom dental bridge is crafted to your bite for a precise fit.

How Much Does a Dental Bridge Cost?

Flexible Financing Available

Without extractions, a 3-unit bridge will cost $3,771. The type of material used in the construction of the bridge can affect the final cost. For a pontic or false tooth, porcelain or zirconia materials are typically used.

At Fort Bend Dental, we never want cost to get in the way of the care you need. We accept most major dental insurance plans and will gladly check with your provider so that you can make the most out of your benefits.

For patients without dental insurance or who are interested in managing their out-of-pocket expenses, we offer flexible financing through CareCredit. We can also work with patients without dental insurance with an in-house payment plan.

We can answer any questions you have about your insurance coverage and financing options during your next appointment at one of our dental practices in Missouri City, Aliana, Sugar Land, Richmond, or Rosenberg, TX.

Dental Implant-Supported Bridges

The team at Fort Bend Dental in Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Aliana and Sugar Land can restore any number of missing teeth with a dental crown, bridge, or denture supported by dental implants. An implant-supported dental bridge provides additional benefits when compared to a traditional restoration, including:

Unmatched Stability

Because dental implants are anchored directly to your jawbone, replacing missing teeth with an implant-supported bridge allows for unparalleled stability. This allows you to eat, speak, and smile with the confidence that comes with a secure restoration.

Bone Preservation

When a tooth is lost, the lack of stimulation from the missing tooth roots causes the tissue in your jawbone to deteriorate. Dental implants act like bionic tooth roots and are the only treatment in modern dentistry proven to stop jawbone atrophy.

A Lifetime of Benefits

With proper care and regular checkups with our dentists, dental implants can last for 40 years or longer. While all dental restorations eventually need replacement, dental implants are a proven solution that can provide a lifetime of oral health benefits.

General candidacy requirements for implant dentistry include healthy gums and good bone density in your jaw. If you are interested in the benefits provided by dental implants, our dentists can review your candidacy during your next appointment at Fort Bend Dental.
