At our practice locations in Missouri City, TX, and Richmond, TX, in Fort Bend County, we take care to ensure that these custom porcelain shells conceal cracks, chips, discoloration, and slight misalignment to give you a dazzling, symmetrical smile. In some cases, we can provide same-day veneers using CEREC® technology. Contact Fort Bend Dental to learn more about porcelain veneers.
Why Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front surfaces of teeth, covering cosmetic imperfections for a more uniform, healthy, and vibrant appearance. When imperfections make you feel self-conscious, but do not compromise the health of your smile, porcelain veneers can help you achieve a smile you can be proud to share.
Candidacy for Porcelain Veneers
You may be a candidate for veneers if you have:
- Tooth discoloration that cannot be corrected through teeth whitening
- Minor to moderate alignment issues
- Misshapen teeth
- Wide spaces between teeth
The best way to determine if you are a candidate for veneers is to speak with one of our dentists. We can schedule an in-depth consultation to discuss your goals for treatment and evaluate your smile.
Placing Veneers
We can create and place custom veneers in a single appointment using CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics), or coordinate with a trusted offsite dental laboratory that can deliver veneers in about two weeks. Both can provide excellent results, and we will make a recommendation based on your goals and needs.
Placing veneers begins with removing a small amount of enamel from the teeth you wish to treat. This provides space for the veneer so that it lays flush with surrounding teeth and looks natural. Once the tooth or teeth have been prepared, we will take impressions that will guide the fabrication of your custom veneers. If your veneers are fabricated in-office using our CEREC® machine, you will receive your permanent veneers on the same day. If your veneer is crafted at our partner lab, we will provide temporary veneers you can wear until the permanent veneers are ready.
Fully Customized Results
The quality, fit, and finish of your veneers - along with your satisfaction with the results - is very important to us. You can depend on us to take great care in selecting porcelain that matches the natural shade of your teeth so that those around you only notice a dazzling smile, not your dental work. Time and again, we have witnessed the tremendous effect a beautiful smile can have on a patient's confidence, and we strive to provide this very important benefit in each and every case.
